NFL By the Numbers > Week 10

192, 1015 - Rushing yards Sunday for sophomore running back Adrian Peterson against the Green Bay Packers. The powerful back put the Vikings on his shoulders and carried them to another victory. Not disappointing in his second season, Peterson is the first NFL running back to 1,000 yards. He even added three catches and 33 receiving yards for a total of 225 all-purpose yards.

12.3 - Passer rating for Jake Delhomme Sunday in the Black Hole. Delhomme completed just 7 of 27 passes for a whole 72 yards. He also threw four picks. Knowing that Delhomme completed just three passes more to his own receivers than to the defense, you'd have to think the Panthers got rocked. Nope. The defense led the way and brought home a 17-6 victory.

20 - Rushing yards for the Tennessee Titans offense against the Chicago Bears. With an offense built around the running game, knowing that the Titans couldn't run the ball against the Bears defense, you'd have to think it wasn't a good day for them in Chicago. Think again. Kerry Collins got the job done completing 30-of-41 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns while the Titans defense did just enough to hold the Bears to a 21-14 victory. The Titans remain the lone undefeated team at 9-0.

1 - The number of games in which the St. Louis Rams have scored more than 20 points this season. They are 2-7 after their 47-3 loss to the Jets on Sunday, which marked the second time this season they mustered just a lone field goal on offense. Before he was fired, Scott Linehan benched Marc Bulger, and now the local media is calling for Bulger to be benched again.

104.3, 23, 239, 2, 0 - Passer rating, completions, passing yards, touchdowns, and interceptions for Brady Quinn in his debut as the Cleveland Browns starting quarterback. On the not so-national stage of Thursday night football on the NFL Network, Quinn shined in the Browns 34-30 loss to the Denver Broncos.

107.9, 24, 442, 3, 1 - Passer rating, completions, passing yards, touchdowns, and interceptions for Jay Cutler in his head-to-head matchup with Quinn. Cutler had a monster fantasy game, not to mention in reality too.

8 vs. 1 - Rushing touchdowns this season through nine games for Thomas Jones compared to all of last year. If you banked on Jones having big upside thanks to an improved offensive line and a new passing threat thanks to Brett Favre, you're cashing in. Jones had his biggest game of the year rushing for 149 yards and three touchdowns Sunday in the laugher against the Rams.

240, 3, 0 - Passing yards, touchdowns, and interceptions thrown for Peyton Manning Sunday in Pittsburgh. The Colts were reeling at just 3-4 heading into Week Nine, but Manning helped lead them to victory at home against the Patriots. He then took the club to Pittsburgh, were he led them to a gutsy 24-20 victory. At 5-4, the club is right back in the middle of the playoff hunt.

11, 70, 3 - Rushes, passing yards, and touchdowns for Maurice Jones-Drew Sunday against the Detroit Lions. Jones-Drew matched Thomas Jones touchdown output for the day, but it took him far less work.

3 - The number of defensive backs the Green Bay Packers have at the top of the NFL in interceptions. Charles Woodson and Nick Collins lead the league with five picks each, while Tramon Williams is tied with five others for third place with four.
