6 - Touchdown passes thrown by Brett Favre Sunday. And he did it in only 34 attempts, good for 24 completions and just 289 yards. Those six touchdowns give him 12 on the year. Thing is, Favre in one week threw for more TDs than Carson Palmer (1), Marc Bulger (2), and Matt Hasselback (2) combined on the season.
57 - The number of passes thrown by Kurt Warner in the shootout in the Meadowlands Sunday. Trying to play catchup, the Cardinals abandoned the run game. The most passes Warner threw in any of the three prior games was 30. More impressively, he completed 40 (70.2%) of those passes for 472 yards. But he did throw three picks. In the first two weeks, Warner didn't throw a single interception leading the Cardinals to two wins. In weeks three and four, he has four picks, and the Cards two losses.
11 - Total rushes attempted by the Dallas Cowboys in their 26-24 loss to Washington on Sunday. Marion Barber carried the ball just eight times. Terrell Owens had two carries, and Tony Romo one. There was no balance in the offense, and the club's rookie spark plug, Felix Jones, didn't get a single touch outside the kicking game.
14-13 - Score of the Rams vs. Bills game heading into the fourth quarter Sunday afternoon. St. Louis was on-pace to match their Missouri counterparts in pulling off the upset, but Trent Green threw a pick-six to open the quarter, and the Bills never looked back. Green, who started for a benched Marc Bulger, was 17-for-32 for 236 yards, no touchdowns, and that one very costly interception. The loss put the Rams at 0-4 on the season, which resulted in head coach Scott Linehan's firing Monday. Jim Haslett was named interim head coach.
198 - Rushing yards Sunday for Larry Johnson. In Week Three, it was Ronnie Brown leading the upset charge. In Week Four, it was Johnson. The Chiefs topped the Broncos, bringing Denver and the Jay Cutler show back down to earth. Johnson rushed for two scores, and his yardage on the day was his biggest output since January 1, 2006.
3 vs. 0 - Touchdowns by Houston's Kevin Walter compared to that of Andre Johnson. Matt Schaub has been hooking up with Walter in the red zone more so than Johnson so far this year. Don't worry, though, Johnson's going to get his scores; defenses won't be able to consistently cover both these talented wide receivers.
12 - Points scored by Buccaneers kicker Matt Bryant Sunday. He nailed three field goal attempts and three extra points as the Bucs beat Green Bay 30-21. All this just days after his three-month old son passed away. It was an emotional win for the entire Tampa team.
6 vs. 0 - Touchdowns this season thrown by Jason Campbell compared to interceptions. The young Washington quarterback appears to be maturing quickly. He's relying on his running game and minimizing mistakes, and as a result, the Redskins are 3-1 to start the season.
30 - Rushing yards Monday night for rookie Pittsburgh running back Rashard Mendenhall. The spotlight was on Mendenhall Monday night starting for an injured Willie Parker against the Baltimore Ravens defense. But his debut was cut short due to a shoulder injury; prognosis to be determined.
9 - Total points separating the top 13 kickers in the league. If you don't have one of those 13 guys, only 12 point separate the top 18 kickers. Spread out over four weeks, that's really not that big a deal. So make sure you have a team that scores some consistent offense and don't sweat the kicker position too much.
