Redskins / Giants preview

New York Giants

§ Quarterback Eli Manning and running back Brandon Jacobs are both healthy and expected to play against the 'Skins.
§ Manning struggled against Washington last year, while Jacobs rushed for 130 yards in his only meeting with the Redskins.
§ Wideout Plaxico Burress (ankle) practiced full speed on Monday and should not be limited against the ‘Skins.
§ Keep an eye on tight end Kevin Boss, who will be looking to fill the shoes of departed Jeremy Shockey. Boss could be a monster fantasy sleeper this year.
§ PK John Carney figures to stand in for the injured Lawrence Tynes (knee) for at least the next few games. Carney should be fine, but he’s not someone your fantasy team should be depending upon.
§ IDP Notes: Former linebacker Mathias Kiwanuka moves to defensive end in place of the injured Osi Umenyiora...Middle linebacker Antonio Pierce (back) is expected to play.

Washington Redskins
§ Quarterback Jason Campbell, running back Clinton Portis, tight end Chris Cooley and wideout Santana Moss should all be good to go.
§ Campbell may struggle a bit while he learns yet another offensive scheme.
§ Portis should get the rock a lot against the Giants - as if you needed another reason to start him.
§ Wide receiver Antwaan Randle El (wrist) fully practiced this week and figures to play Thursday night.
§ IDP notes: Defensive end Jason Taylor (knee) will be active against the Giants, but will likely be limited to playing on passing downs...strong safety LaRon Landry (hamstring) missed the entire preseason, but practiced fully this week and should be a "go" Thursday night...MLB London Fletcher is of course a must-start.
