The fantasy football monsters known as the New England Patriots take a week off, leaving fantasy owners who were living high on the hog scrambling for players. What a windfall the Patriots have been in 2007 – with Tom Brady (33 touchdown passes) and Randy Moss (12 touchdown receptions) leading the way. There is one disturbing note about the Patriots, mainly related to fantasy first-round pick Laurence Maroney - when is this guy going to find the end zone? Sure he missed a couple of games, but even Heath Evans and Kyle Eckel have rushing touchdowns for the Patriots this season.

The way the Cowboys shredded the Eagles and the Steelers dominated the Ravens this past week, it now appears that the Patriots week 12 meeting with the Eagles and week 13 meeting with the Ravens will be nothing more than additional fodder. Then come the grudge matches in weeks 15 and 16 – the Jets and the Dolphins. You can bet the Patriots head coach Bill Belichick would love nothing more than to put up a 60-spot against either of those clubs.

Remember that Week Ten is the last bye week with four teams staying home. Reserve all of your Houston Texans, New England Patriots, New York Jets, and Tampa Bay Bucs.
