NFFC Zone > The One Bullet I Can't Dodge

This whole injury situation has lost its humor value.  They are going to have to look at what is going on in this game.  I don't know if you can develop the NFL equivalant of the NASCAR restrictor plate.  Maybe the players need to be in a suit made of Nerf.

I have continued to have great success this year despite the injuries my team has suffered.  My strategy of depth, and I've been preaching that, has helped me dodge bullet after bullet.  I feel like I'm in a John Woo movie.

I lost Eddie Kennison, but I had Dwayne Bowe as a backup.

Chester Taylor got hurt and lost his starting job, but that was okay as I carried three starting running backs.

Travis Henry got hurt and in legal trouble, but that was okay as I picked up DeShawn Wynn.

One of my opponents was kind enough to waive Jesse Chatman.  I certainly understand why.  Ronnie Brown was doing so well that Chatman wasn't getting any reps.  I picked him up "just in case".

Sadly, the next week I lost Ronnie Brown.

Well, last week I lost DeShawn Wynn.  I had rushed home to get Wynn on my roster over Henry just for him to gain one yard and get hurt.  He gave me .1 points for the week.

So, this week I'm in a bind.  Chatman has a bye and the two running backs on my roster are Travis Henry and Chester Taylor.  Packer running back Ryan Grant is available, so I have little choice but put the rest of my chips on the table.  I don't like going all in, but I need a #2 running back.  The whole legal mess Travis Henry is looming.

The bullet I cannot dodge is my FAAB.  It is running out.  Some managers in my league have spent most of their FAAB on picking up a kicker two rankings higher than the one they have on their roster already.  I don't do that.  I spend my FAAB only on players I intend to play. Unfortunately, I'm running out of FAAB just on injuries alone.

Despite a #13 ranking, I'm fourth in my league in head-to-head.  I shouldn't complain.  It is unlikely that I'm going to catch the #1 team as he is undefeated, but I'm just one game behind from #2 and with my points advantage, I'm in good shape.

Well, I'm back to reading player reports to see if I'm missing someone.  It is tough to miss anyone in a league this deep, but I want to make sure.  Good Luck.
