So you have been living the high life having drafted Ronnie Brown in the third round and received first round fantasy numbers for seven weeks. While trying to chase down a Patriots’ defensive back after an interception, the season ended for Brown, along with one fantasy owner in every single league. The replacement options in most leagues are thin, with new Dolphins starter Jesse Chatman leading the way. But make sure you consider wildcard Ricky Williams if he is eligible to be acquired in your league and you have an available roster spot. Williams has reportedly applied for reinstatement and a decision could come any day. Realistically, the Dolphins have no reason to keep Williams off of their active roster. If he plays and is no good, then they just cut him next year. If he plays and is good, the team can parlay the performance into a trade for a reasonable draft choice. If he does not play, the Dolphins will have no chance to recoup even a draft choice. Adding a player like Williams could be the home run that fantasy owners must hit after losing Brown in order to remain in contention for their league title.

Remember that Week Eight is another bye week with a six teams staying home. Reserve all of your Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, and Seattle Seahawks.
