With the free agent signing period done, there has not been much in the world of transactions. With that I want to tell you about what is coming up this year at CREATiVESPORTS.
I have talked with many of our subscribers. They have said that they would like more Minor League coverage. So, we are going to make some changes in the schedule to do just that. First I will discuss the articles that will appear in the Fantasy Sports Daily e-mail newsletter.
The week starts with A Look Ahead by Tony Care. It is our most popular article. Tony promises to add some more surprises while keeping the same formula, giving you the information to set up your lineup for the week.
Monday brings Rob Blackstien’s Spikes Up. Rob looks at all aspects of fantasy baseball and always comes up with something interesting.
Tuesday is NFBC Zone. CREATiVESPORTS has assembled a team of Brian Walton, Marc Meltzer, Lori Rubinstein, and Buster H. Esq. to compete at the National Fantasy Baseball Championship. They will write about the strategies and why they used them.
We are promoting Minor League Spotlight by Matt Lawrence to a feature. Matt will discuss everything Minor Leagues.
Thursday becomes a double header. We are going to combine NL Beat by Pete Khazen and AL or Nothing now by Craig Brown into a double feature.
The hardest part of putting together the schedule is making the tough decisions. It is tougher when it is your article. Okay, I took it over in December, so I will give myself one more chance… Transactional Analysis just was not very popular. Transactions are still important. We are going to replace it with a new feature named Buy Low Sell High. We are going to still look at the transaction wire, but I will poll the CREATiVESPORTS staff and recommend you Acquire, Neutral, or Sell.
Saturday belongs to the Zen Master himself, Lawr Michaels in Bed Goes Up, Bed Goes Down. Lawr will impart his wisdom for all you wish to learn the finer arts of Zen Fantasy Baseball.
We also have articles that you can only read on the webpage.
Sunday Brian Walton will publish Fire ‘n’ Ice and tell you who is hot and not in the Major Leagues.
Monday, Mike Kosmoski will discuss the strategies behind challenge games in The Ultimate Challenge.
Lawr Michaels talks about the players who caught his eye both good and bad in the Baseball Hotpage.
Buster H., Esq. tells you what you need to know to win your fantasy league in Outside the [Batter’s] Box on Thursday.
Also on Thursday, Brian Pelowski will take a detailed look at bullpens in Pen Names. Forty percent of the saves last year were earned by someone other than the closer names on Opening Day.
On Fridays John Dunfee looks at what has happened during the week in Mr. Replay.
Occasionally I will talk about Strat-O-Matic when I don’t have to fix something around CREATiVESPORTS.
We are always looking for comments on our schedule and our content. If you are interested in becoming a fantasy writer, we may have a position for you. Even if it isn’t a sport we currently cover.
JP Kastner is the guy who keeps CREATiVESPORTS running. He is a twenty year veteran of Strat-O-Matic and Commissioner of the Strat-O-Matic Baseball Online Experts’ League. He will make his rookie debut in Tout Wars, representing CREATiVESPORTS in the mixed league.
