On to the roundup for the week...
Breaking News: Seems like Coco Crisp and Jacoby Ellsbury will both end up seeing time in Center when JD Drew is healthy. Terry Francona gave the nod on Wednesday to Coco Crisp in the series final against Oakland. It seems to me they are just keeping Crisp sharp so that he can be trade bait later in the season.
Injuries:
JJ Putz(RP SEA) has a rib injury. He was placed on the 15 Day DL.
Victor Martinez(C CLE) is day to day with a left hamstring strain.
David DeJesus(OF KC) is day to day with a sprained left ankle.
Jorge Posada(C NYY) is day to day with a sore right shoulder.
Who's Hot:
Mark Lowe(RP SEA) - He should take over Closer duties while JJ Putz is out.
Rich Harden(SP OAK) - Has faced Boston twice in the early going and has a 0.82 ERA.
Jim Thome(DH CLE) - Thome blasted 2 HR's in his season debut. If his back stays healthy, he could bounce back with a good power season.
Who's Not:
Mike Mussina(SP NYY) - He has to give the Yankees quality starts with young guys like Ian Kennedy and Philip Hughes around who are really unproven commodities.
David Ortiz(DH BOS) - Started the season 0-12, but broke out with a HR in the series final at Oakland.
