Shhh......Open your Windows some night this week.....Do you hear that sound? It sounds like a low moan? No, it's not a Whale song.....But it is emanating from Boston.....Where the faithfull now see the Yankees only 2 back in the loss column. Eric Gagne blew another game this week for the Sox, and maybe an investigation should be made to see if he may be actually on the Yankees payroll. The Red Sox pitching staff now has some issues outside of Josh Beckett. Curt Schilling does not resemble the guy with the bloody sock.. Daisuke Matsuzaka looks worn down, Tim Wakefield has been shelled his last 3 starts. Add in a dash of Gagne, and look out, you have the ingredients for a baseball version of nitroglycerin. Even if they somehow turn around the staff before the playoffs, I would bet no one in Boston would like to see the Yankees coming in to town for the playoffs.
Injuries:
Carl Crawford - His strained groin will cause him to miss a few games this week.
J.J. Putz - He is out with tightness in his right triceps.
Kevin Youkilis - He will miss a few more days due to his sore wrist.
Who's Hot:
Raul Ibanez - Now has 19 HR's and 100 RBI for the season.
Torii Hunter - Having a nice season hitting .291 with 103 RBI.
Josh Beckett - 19 wins with a 3.20 ERA is keeping the Red sox from sinking.
Who's Not:
Boof Bonser - His 4.91 ERA is not what his owners envisioned.
Miguel Tejeda - Only has 17 Dingers for the season.
Michael Young - Where did his power go? Has 8 HR's for the year.
Fantasy Studs for the Week(Last 7 Days):
Garrett Anderson - Went 13-25, .520 with 1 HR and 5 RBI.
Aubrey Huff - Had a 12-25 week with 4 RBI.
Danny Richar - White Sox 2B went 9-21, .429 with 2 HR's and 4 RBI.
Fantasy Duds for the Week(Last 7 Days):
Alex Rodriguez - He is in a 3-25 slump.
Ivan Rodriguez - Went 2-24, .083 BA.
Travis Hafner - Hit .211 by going 4-19. He never could turn it around this year.
