If you have drafted hitting values early and picked pitchers in later rounds then after two weeks your team is not near the top of the standings. No need to panic. That was our strategy, wasn't it? We counted on young arms to pop up throughout the season.

 

So why I am itching to spend those Free Agent dollars this soon? My heart jumped when Brad Lidge got demoted.  We did not draft him, right? The same old heart got deflated when I realized the Dan Wheeler was already drafted by another team.

 

If you need saves, he is worth picking up. If he is not available, here are a few names that have popped up recently.

 

Randy Keisler – SP-Cardinals; may loose his job when Chris Carpenter returns, whenever that is going to be; could have 2 starts in week 3.
